Sennheiser GSP 350

As a German, you can actually only find Sennheiser good. We don't have too many companies in the gaming and hardware industry in the country. Especially not like Sennheiser. The Hanoverians have each other made a name over the years and belong in terms of audio to the biggest brands in the world. You can find out whether Sennheiser can also do it cheaply in our review of the GSP 350.

The Sennheiser GSP 350 offers good sound, a successful design, skilful workmanship and Sennheiser-typical features, but it does not have a unique selling point and weakens when it comes to it Microphone.

Have you seen it?

Let's clarify one thing from the start: the Sennheiser GSP 350 is of course flawlessly processed. The materials appear to be of high quality, the size adjustment works well and all this with the lowest weight in our comparison, at 259 grams. In terms of design, we are not entirely convinced.

The GSP 350 looks good, but clearly reminds of a typical one Gaming Headset. No surprises, no extraordinary accents. The red padding on the headband is something more exotic. That doesn't have to be bad in itself, but it's also not enough to play at the top. Nevertheless, we would like to emphasize the relatively simple design, better this way than the other way around.

In our opinion, the biggest annoyance is the rigid microphone. This can hardly be adjusted and stubbornly jumps back to its original position. In addition, the leather ear pads get warm relatively quickly. Even in the maximum size, the GSP 350 seems small to us. People with long or extremely wide faces could have problems here. We like the position of the volume wheel. This is on the right headphone and is easy to reach. As is typical for Sennheiser, the microphone can be muted by simply flipping it up. The only positive thing that can be said is that the jack cable can be removed. This at least reduces the risk of losing your headset to a broken cable.

Sonically strong

As we expected from Sennheiser, the sound of the Sennheiser GSP 350 is convincing. The headset sounds very good. Only the bass could be a bit stronger, but that can easily be adjusted as desired in the equalizer. We like the surround sound much less here. The quality of playback decreases enormously. The Sennheiser GSP 350 are closed headphones and therefore insulated. The insulation It's not too aggressive, but keeps outside noise out well enough. Overall, one can be satisfied with the sound of the GSP 350 from Sennheiser.

Disappointing shots with the GSP 350

Anyone who has already seen the Sennheiser GSP 350 in their more or less successful twitch stream will not like reading it. The GSP 350's microphone is average at best. The recording is low-noise, loud enough and sufficient for voice chat, Skype and Discord. But we don't want to recommend more than that to anyone. Voices appear dull and not very powerful, while S sounds are transmitted very concisely. The rigid microphone described above doesn't really help.

Neatly equipped

The Sennheiser GSP 350 comes with a USB sound card plus an extension that is responsible for the surround sound. Nice features: The card has a USB-C output and can therefore be called future-proof. Apart from that, the scope of delivery of the GSP 350 is sparse. A jack adapter is missing and must be purchased if you want to use your own sound card. Incidentally, Sennheiser offers just such a cable and advertises that it can also be used with consoles. The PC version costs €20 and the console version costs €17. This is pretty steep in our opinion and would have liked to have been able to settle it easily. Then there would also have been the multi-platform bonus.

Cheap product with a big name

Overall, one can be satisfied with the Sennheiser GSP 350. The sound of the GSP 350 is good, the somewhat weak microphone should be sufficient for most users. In terms of comfort, the rigid microphone is particularly annoying. Ultimately, Sennheiser could have gotten a lot out of the scope of delivery instead of selling expensive accessories. In the end, the price makes the Sennheiser GSP 350 a mediocre deal. We would buy the slightly more powerful Logitech G10 for 433 euros less. For demanding users, there is only the step to the competition or Sennheiser's own higher-priced options anyway. More information in our big gaming headset comparison.
