Overpriced selfie sticks from street vendors in the pedestrian zone are now commonplace in every big city. The cheaply made all-purpose weapons for portrait perspective images can be seen anywhere, anytime. Now the hype about the selfie is entering the second round. AirSelfie is the name of the new idea, with the one Bird's eye view selfie is possible. Exact values not clearly recognizable
The AirSelfie website is impressively structured in terms of marketing. A modern site introduces the small device that is due to appear in May. Unfortunately, the “Technical Data” section does not really reveal any technical data. It is only informative about the materials of the product. Technology seems stable
What can be read about the flight and camera technology does not seem to be bad. The camera takes photos with five megapixels, which is not state-of-the-art, but sufficient for the first model of an innovative idea. The images are then saved directly to a 4GB microSD card. Looking at the pictures seems to have been made a bit stupid. Although the drone is controlled via a smartphone app, the images apparently cannot yet be sent directly to the cell phone.
The AirSelfie is only powered by a 260 Mah 7.4 V battery. This is a bit disappointing, because it only allows the photo drone to fly for around three minutes. An autonomous hover mode is installed, which should enable smooth photos. How exactly this works is unclear, we will have to wait until the release in May to really put the AirSelfie through its paces. The voltage increases!
