Since the Chinese company OnePlus a few years ago with the OnePlus One cleaned up the market the brand enjoys great popularity. At first, early adopters could be convinced, nowadays more and more average users are reaching for the cheap high-end solution from Asia. Next Tuesday, the Asians will present their latest model, not even six months after the last release.
what the user wants
The special thing about OnePlus has always been the hardware in combination with the price. Where Samsung, Google and LG demand 800 euros and more for the release. The OnePlus 5, which was released a few months ago, also came with Qualcomm's top model, the Snapdragon 835, and still had an enormous 6 or 8 GB random access memory on it. All this for just under 500 euros. The Chinese particularly emphasized the dual camera, which was the most desired feature by the users. And the next variant of the OnePlus 5, the 5T, should also be based on the wishes of customers. OnePlus apparently installs a larger display with thin edges. A 6-inch screen in the newfangled 18:9 format with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels is assumed. That would mean that OnePlus stays true to itself, at least in terms of resolution. There has never been a QHD panel in the line-up because the Chinese place more value on the device's battery life. An increase from 3.300 mAh to 3450 mAh is therefore also assumed.
The OnePlus 5T can establish itself
In addition to the modern hardware, the 5T will be delivered with Android 8.0 Oreo. A 3,5 mm jack connection will also still be installed. That should please many headset users. In terms of camera and storage, no major changes are expected. There will again be a choice between 64 and 128 GB. The price of the OnePlus 5T should also remain extremely competitive. Some sources speak of no change, others suspect a price of 520 euros. The 5T will be released on November 21, 2017.
In our opinion, OnePlus is doing everything right at the moment. More and more Chinese manufacturers are entering the international market. The reputation of Chinese products is constantly improving and rightly so. In terms of design and hardware, the Chinese are based on Samsung and the enormously successful Galaxy series. Many, especially young buyers, no longer attach great importance to big names and prefer to use the opportunity to save a few hundred euros. We therefore believe that OnePlus will finally make the leap into the mainstream with the 5T. Because when the iPhone and Pixel 2 XL push into the four-digit amounts, there will always be users for whom these costs are too high. Anyone who then informs himself and finds out that you can buy extremely good devices at half the price will certainly think twice.
