February 27th - the day the Galaxy S8 was released more or less worthy competitors in the eye. Until March 02nd the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, MWC for short. In relation to the Samsung Galaxy S8, which itself will not be admired at the fair, the main question is about the competitors Huawei P10 and the LG G6 of interest.
The most profitable smartphone manufacturer
The presentation of the Huawei P10 in Barcelona is an opportunity for the Chinese manufacturer. The absence of the currently enthroned competitor Samsung and its latest model, the Galaxy S8, creates space and, above all, attention for your own model. According to assumptions, the P10 should go to battle in the variants already known from its predecessors. This means that in addition to the standard version, a Lite and a Plus version can be expected.
There are also several rumors about the prices, but these are more or less within the known spectrum. While the Huawei P10 Lite is available for 260 euros, the larger versions are available for 550 and 730 euros. The assumptions that the P10 probably has a curved screen are more certain than the rumors about the actual prices. This will probably have a resolution of 2.560 x 1.440. In addition to the expected screen, the equipment with the in-house Kirin 960 is obvious and a fingerprint sensor will probably also be part of the P10.
Leaks upon leaks upon leaks: the LG G6
At least on the outside, there are no longer any big surprises with the LG G6.
Provided, of course, that the images published in several sources actually correspond to the G6. After a first picture of the Smartphones appeared, pictures from different perspectives have now also been made public. But that's not all, because more pictures reached the general public. It is in these pictures Smartphone, which everyone should see for the first time in Barcelona, is shown in different cases.
The lack of secrecy makes one thing clear to us: LG has refrained from the idea of another modular smartphone after the G5. The LG G6 is framed by a metal frame that looks classic and the battery is definitely built in. Other features that can be taken from the leaked images are a fingerprint sensor, a dual camera, a USB-C port, a jack and a presumably 5,7-inch display with a resolution of 2.880 x 1.440 pixels.
There are leaks, which the two models are certainly not lacking. Ultimately, however, the multitude of information circulating does not lead to greater certainty, quite the opposite. So, as always, we have to wait and see.
