E3 2017 at a Glance

E3 news

E3 2017 has been over for a few days. We want anyway our highlights show, according to the motto: Better late than never. Which games should you keep an eye on, what looks interesting?

sequels ahead

Sequels aren't just popular with movies. Some people wonder why so many publishers rely on parts 2 to 12. The answer is as simple as it is simple. Sequels generate endless money. In addition, the risk of a new IP is avoided. Here are the interesting sequels to E3 2017.

EA's sports series

Of course there will be all kinds of sporting activities at Electronic Arts this year. As always, changes are in short supply. FIFA 18 recently comes with Cristiano Ronaldo as a face. In addition, the focus this year will be on the stadium atmosphere. New animations using advanced motion capture are included, as is the continuation of the story mode, The Journey. In addition to FIFA, there are of course also new branches of NFL Live and Madden.

Metro: Exodus

The Metro series is one of the best single player shooters in recent years. With Metro: Exodus, developer 4A Games puts incredible graphics first. Exodus should now offer a much larger, open world. In addition, the action of the game should be spread over a year and thus create interesting season changes that also involve gameplay changes.

Life is Strange: Before the storm

The first part of Life is Strange was a little favorite of mine from last year. The adventure convinces with a captivating story and understandable characters. The sequel Before the storm shows the story of secondary character Chloe from part 1. Those who like adventures will be happy.

what's new

Successors are all well and good, but it only gets really exciting with the new IPs. Luckily it was delivered here too.

Detroit: Become Human

Human-like cyborgs are all the rage. First Fallout 4, then Westworld, and now Detroit. Quantic Dreams and their self-proclaimed Jesus David Cage want to show what is possible in terms of storytelling in video games. The PS4 exclusive adventure tells the story of a world where humanoid cyborgs are sold as a kind of modern day slaves. What could possibly happen there?

Anthem

BioWare has had a tough year. Mass Effect: Andromeda failed because of his scowl and infuriated the fans immensely. EA pulled the ripcord and put the franchise on hold until further notice. Luckily, the developers can distract themselves right away with their next title. Anthem looks like a cross between Destiny and Mass Effect. EA calls the whole thing a shared world action RPG. Sounds like co-op in RPG and could be quite interesting.

Of course there are many more interesting games like the new Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Far Cry 5 and the new God of War. At release we might take a closer look at one or the other game. If you are looking for more information about the new Xbox, check out our article here.
