The Photo & Video category is all about cameras and the necessary accessories to bring your ideas to life. This can include mini printers, but also digital picture frames, lenses, microphones or even lights. Depending on the category, the special focus is of course on the image or print quality.
The photo area is probably the most sensitive test area on our site. Even if you have to show a high degree of accuracy in all areas, especially when it comes to technology, the photo test series are the most complex. It's not done with a few fixed tests, as is the case in the audio area, for example. Pictures have to be taken in different situations and at different times of the day.
Programs can then evaluate the saturation and balance of the contrast. Only then is it possible to compare the individual products. In our experience, making comparisons is what makes photo test series so difficult. Many cameras often take very good pictures, but each in different situations. So how to compare? A fixed scale helps us to weigh the individual advantages and disadvantages against each other.
We also let the numbers impress us here. What we usually always test ourselves can be evaluated well on hard facts, especially in the area of possible megapixels, possible FPS (frames per second) or possible ISO numbers. Although the test is still meaningful in use, a good result in the fact test is a good basis.
