The Housing was designed handsomely, with the white model we examined being an eye-catcher. The silver border and the black display bar are harmonious stylistic elements. The black version, on the other hand, looks pretty boring. The case is made of plastic, but makes a robust impression. It can hardly be twisted, even with a lot of force. There are four LEDs that indicate battery status, Wi-Fi connection, Internet access, and hard drive activity. At just 279 grams, the Intenso Memory 2 Move Pro is very light and pleasingly compact at 83 millimeters wide, 130 millimeters high and 26 millimeters deep. Aside from the card reader, there is also the USB 3.0 port, the LAN connection, which is also used to connect the power adapter, a reset switch and the on/off button. The hard drive itself comes in a 2,5-inch form factor.
Hardware
The built-in battery is ingenious, as it allows the Intenso Memory 2 Move Pro to be operated without being connected to a power outlet. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not specify the nominal value of the rechargeable battery, but the battery life is said to be up to 6 hours. As usual, the manufacturer's information is a bit too optimistic, but we still managed a little more than 5 hours on one charge. We really liked the design, the integrated battery and the handy shape, but there is still room for improvement in the equipment. The LAN port is not gigabit-capable, but can be controlled with a maximum of 100 Mbit/s. Also, although the specs suggest otherwise, the HDD doesn't appear to be SDXC compatible. We could easily use 16GB and 32GB SD cards, but the 64GB specimens were inaccessible. You should also be careful with the file system used. Not all formats are supported, the use of FAT32 is recommended.

The app required for the smartphone can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iPhone). On Tablets the application works too. Up to 5 users can access the external HDD at the same time. The card reader enables practical backups on the go, for example if you take a lot of photos with the camera and want to save the pictures. The WLAN range of the Intenso Memory 2 Move Pro is up to 40 meters.
Conclusion
The Intenso Memory 2 Move Pro is above all a handy and stylish piece of hardware, with which you can easily have important files at hand on the go. The backup function using the SD card reader is also easy to use if the card is not in SDXC format. The highlight, however, is probably the built-in battery. This is what makes the device really mobile. One also ensures the necessary security Encryption via WPA or WPA2. In this way, the sensitive files are always well protected against unauthorized access. If Intenso corrects the small weaknesses of the Intenso Memory 2 Move Pro, the HDD is the perfect companion for longer trips. The product is also well suited for use in NAS operations.
