Hitachi manufactures a wide range of external hard drives. These are available in both 2,5 and 3,5 inches. In terms of storage capacity, Hitachi offers something for every requirement. If you don't need too much storage space, you can already find good hard drives at a relatively low price 500 GB. But Hitachi also offers external hard drives with 3TB or more storage space for larger data packages, which usually consist of numerous videos, photos, films and MP1 files.

When it comes to speed, Hitachi does a good job too. If we Hitachi hard drives testing, we can regularly determine very good transfer rates. The reading and writing speeds of the individual disks are good, even for larger data volumes. In addition, Hitachi offers very solid workmanship, which is why these hard drives are also suitable for mobile use. In terms of design, Hitachi also stands out WD hard drives in nothing after. In terms of content, the Hitachi disks optionally come with a number of useful features, depending on what the customer wants to do with his hard disk. In our tests, we did not find any problems even after longer periods of use. The hard disks neither register a particular heat development, nor does the performance decrease.

Hitachi hard drives are easy to install and for both Mac as well as Windows compatible. Finally, once again the points with which Hitachi knows how to convince:

• Technical know-how. Probably the most important point, which certainly also has something to do with the connection to WD - Hitachi products contain powerful technology.
• Design. Of course there are even fancier hard drives, but we personally like the no-frills design of Hitachi hard drives because it fits on any desk.
• Value for money. This is the point that often leads to a purchase decision in favor of Hitachi in the end: The prices are really excellent for what is on offer and thus appeal to customers who are looking for a solid hard drive on favorable terms instead of performance , which they will not retrieve at all, paying large sums.

Hitachi's core business remains large storage solutions for companies, but private users who are looking for solid quality at low prices are also right with this manufacturer.
