Process analysis as a common feature of efficient PCs and successful companies

A PC or laptop only runs error-free if programs and add-ons are tailored to the operating system and follow an overall concept. A successful company works in a similar way. Vulnerabilities in the PC cause program crashes, for example, while from a business point of view they can end up being costly and damage to reputation. Process modeling helps PC experts and companies to get the most out of it and to put the entire "system" on an efficient and successful course in the long term.

Inventory: The current situation is the basis for process modeling

Where is there room for improvement and what is already running successfully and can be expanded? In order to have a decision-making basis for possible later efficiency designs, the inventory is the basis of each Process modelling

With the PC, for example, it is a question of recording existing software and hardware components. In the company, the inventory is often much more extensive. After all, there are many departments here and several people in charge, who all have their own processes. The more meticulous the inventory, the better the later results when finding efficiency.

Analysis of goals and associated needs

The next step is about the goals and future direction. Should a PC be used for office applications from now on, for example, or is it only used as a backup for the new computer? A precise definition of goals with all the necessary recorded components helps with process modelling.

Successful companies always act with a visionary strategy. Our own performance and goals are constantly questioned and adjusted if necessary. In order to work successfully on the process modeling with the recorded data of the actual situation, precise company intentions are required. Should sales be increased and if so, by what percentage? What are the costs involved and (how) can they be financed from your own resources? These and other questions help to define crystal clear business goals and later to use process modeling as a vehicle for achieving them.

Process modeling implemented: Efficient instructions and processes are created from the current status and goals

“Happiness is part of every career. Happiness opens the door. But beyond the threshold, the task awaits – and that can only be solved by planning, drive and leadership skills.” – Hellmuth Buddenberg, the deceased German manager and ex-board member of BP AG, knew through his many years of work what really matters in successful entrepreneurship.

Without strategic goals combined with drive and efficiency, companies cannot withstand the competition in the long term or even dominate their industry leaders. Efficiency is the order of the day, because it should be possible to achieve the greatest possible income with the least amount of resources. Data analysis is helpful in this regard and process modeling. They provide clear structures and help to prevent errors when editing/processing; clarify alleged competence problems.

The modeling of efficient processes also reduces additional costs. For example, if synergy effects remain unused for companies, many jobs are carried out twice or even three times. At the latest during the actual analysis in preparation for the process modeling, unused potential becomes apparent.

Process modeling also offers enormous potential for savings on the PC. Various (paid) programs are often installed that perform similar or even the same tasks. Time to relieve not only the wallet, but also the random access memory of the calculator. In addition, the implementation of process modeling shows where wasted efficiency lurks. It is often much better to store large amounts of data externally (eg in a secure cloud solution) than to occupy the internal memory of the PC with it.

Process modeling brings clarity to to-dos

Often there are not only adapted processes between the current situation and the achievement of goals, but also the necessary professional competence. If you want to offer your company's products on the international market in the future, you have to ensure that all terms and information are translated into English. At best, the contact persons (e.g. support or sales staff) are also trained in business-fluent English.

Process modeling makes it clear which further training opportunities are required and how they can be efficiently integrated into the company process in order to still achieve the major goal (here international success) as consistently as possible. If the process modeling is used on the PC, this is usually accompanied by a few to-dos for the user. After all, any program is only as good as its users.
